Busy busy busy!

I have been very busy doing test but I also got my swap package from the sheepshed studio swap on Ravelry. Here is the package I got.

And this is a yarn I made with that.

I am making this into a shawl with some yarn that I spun when I first learned to spin on my drops spindle.

I will post pictures of a shawl when it is done. I am not using a pattern I am knitting it on size 13 needles.

Test knitting overload.

OK I admit it I am a little addicted (read really addicted) to test knitting. I now have 2 pair of socks, one double knit hat and a boys pullover sweater.....oh wait and a dish towel. OK I have officially over loaded my self. I also have another pair of socks to test coming in the mail LOL. I really really need to stop offering to do test knitting and work on some of my knitting as well as getting back to my spinning. Oh and my loom I ordered will be here in the next week too!!!

Update on my Birthday outing!

We had a blast on my Birthday. We (my Mom and I) left the house at 8 am, went into the city (Chicago, 30 mins away) and picked up my Moms friend and my Uncle Patrick who is also born on St Patricks day. We went out to breakfast and then started driving to Michigan and to Four Winds Casino. We got there about 12:30. We all split off and played on the machines till about 6:30 when we went to dinner. At dinner I found out my Mom had won $1600 on a dollar machine!!!!!!!! After Dinner we played some more till 11:30 pm. We then started the 2 hour trip home. I had brought $300 to play with and I brought home $100 so I was very very happy even though I didn't win anything to bring home. Our next time up there may be in May for my Moms birthday.

My Birthday!!!!

Tomorrow is my Birthday!!!! To celebrate my Mom and I are going to Michigan to The Four Winds Casino!!!! I am hoping I can win enough to get a drum carder or nice loom, but I am not expecting it. I started some socks on size 1 circ's to take with me to work on in the car. I am using some yarn that my friend Mary gave me. I will post a picture of the socks on Wednesday. I am doing 2 at a time!!! The socks will be put away for Christmas gifts. I am also going to take some tatting with me. I did tat some 4 leaf clovers that I made into pins for us to wear for luck. I will post a picture of my 4 leaf clover later today or Wednesday.

What I am working on now.

Second we have the sweater I am making myself. It is the pinwheel sweater and I have about 20 more rows to finish the body of the sweater and then I have to do the sleeves. This is being made out of Sheep Shed Studio's fiber that I am spinning.

My first post!

Hi, and welcome to my blog. I tried this once before but I am trying again and hopefully I will do better this time. I am a spinner, I have a Heavenly Handspinning Fidelis wheel, which I LOVE!!! I also do drop spindling. I love to knit and do a lot of test knitting as well as knitting for myself and my family. I just ordered a weaving loom for myself for my birthday and I am hoping it will be here soon.

Here are a few of the things I have test knit in the last few weeks.
