Sample knitting for the IDP program at Knit Picks

Today I got the yarn from Knit Picks to start knitting up the sample of my Off to the Races Wrap for the IDP program.

I love the color which is grass and it is Gloss Dk weight yarn,  I love how soft and drappy (is that a word?) this yarn is.

This is the box but I had already started to knit with my Glass size 11 needles.

This is where I am now 2 and 1/2 lace repeats in, I did switch to my size 11 Denise interchangeable knitting needles, which I love.

I am so excited about doing this and I will keep you all updated.  I am hoping to have this done on Sunday so I can block it and then get it in the mail on Monday morning.

Busy day again today!

Today I have already blocked my off to the races scarf that I dyed violet I will post pictures later when it is dry. I also need to work on a test knit I am doing for someone, they are tights for a 6-9 month old, as well as work on writing up 2 more patterns so I can knit them and get them in test knitting. Oh I also need to block a scarf I am sending to china to be part of the shokay design circle, it is the off to the races scarf, this company makes yak yarns that are amazing, and help the people of china too.

Next up is Jo-ann Sensations Soles and More Sock yarn. 1 skein at 262 yards, is available it is self patterning and in the color way 1813, lot # 503, purlple/pink/gray soles and more. I am asking $5 plus shipping or free shipping if included with something else.

And Finaly, I told you it is a small destash LOL.
Handspun 100% silk this is 42 wpi, or lace weight. It is chain or Navajo plyed. I was making this for a shawl I wanted to design but decided I don't like how it came out. So I am going to spin some more. I am asking $30 and shipping in the USA is included.
