Good Morning and Happy Saturday

It has been really hard already keeping up with this blog every day for the month thing but I am still plugging along!  I decided to try blogging early today instead of worrying about doing it later as I may be out then.  So as I sit here drinking my coffee and trying to clear sleep from my mind I and promising I will be only working on my charting and foot stool today!  OK maybe 2 hours on my new cowl so I can finish it up and type it up for testing on Monday.  I am hearing rumors that we may have snow soon and I will take pictures of our first snow fall and post them for you all.

Great news came in an email yesterday a second company has agreed to send yarn support for my Celtic Knot throw blanket series!  That is 2 of the 3 taken care of now, of course this means I need to knit them and I have the foot stool to finish, the blanket that goes with the tuffet to do, those 2 blankets and the 2 sweaters I promised my friend LOL  I really really need to finish my last filet chart which will also be the 3rd blanket!  Oh and I want to start work on the dish cloths and put in for yarn support for those this coming week.

OK today's question, please post your answers in the comments below!

How much would you pay for a pattern with 12 dish rags in it?
Also would you be interested in a dish rag of the month club?  What would you expect from it?  Pattern? Yarn? Both?  and what would you pay for a Dish rag of the month club that only gave you a mailed copy of the pattern?  Or would you want the PDF and what would you pay for the PDF version of dish rag of the month club?

Answers to questions and me being side tracked by yarn!

Well today I thought I would answer some questions from the comments.  I was asked by Jaguarrior, who posted "I love to do Dishcloth Kals, and on months where I'm not super busy (eeek christmas is coming!) I'll knit 2-3 a month. A dishcloth a month would be perfect! Are you going to do it like a calendar or just release one a month? "  The answer is I have been thinking about formatting the pattern to maybe look like a calender, of course this will be after I write the pattern and start the formatting.  Now my thinking is to do a blank calender so you could use it every year if you wanted, but then I was also thinking of just doing it as a collection of the 12 patterns instead.  I was also thinking a dish rag a month club could be something fun to do but that is something I would look into maybe next year.  Please continue to post on the thread below this one for the contest and I am reading your posts and will answer any questions as they come up.

Now on to being side tracked by yarn....OK so I was all ready to be good and work on the chart I have been putting off for 2 days and then work on the foot stool and this sneaky ball of Berroco Comfort chunky that I had left over from my scarf set that is in testing kept taunting me...."Patricia don't you want to play with my soft fibery goodness?"  it was saying.  So being weak I gave in and hopefully by Monday I will be putting into testing my new cowl!!!!

Well now I am off to eat dinner and then back to knitting!  Have a great evening and see you here tomorrow!

Designing in a better order???

I have come to the conclusion that I need to do my designs in a better order.  Right now I have 4 throw blankets and the felted foot stool going at the same time.  Which means I am knitting all of them!  I really need to learn to do a small thing a and large thing at one time and not 5 big things at one time as I am knitting my fingers to the bone and not feeling like I am getting any where!  I am going to start a few smaller designs just so I can feel like I am getting something done.

I am also thinking about doing a pattern called Dish Rag a Month!  Now this would be 12 original designs one for each month.  Please post in the comments if this is something you would be interested in.  I will keep a list of everyone that comments and when the pattern comes out I will do the random number generator and one commenter will get the pattern free!

Happy Hump day!!!!

Yes it is the middle of the week and today I have been busy even though it is a dark depressing day today.  I worked on my newest filet crochet chart it is now about 1/4 of the way done!  I finished the last of the mittens for the scarf set I have in testing (I hate having 1 left of mittens or socks hanging over me).  Once I am done writing here I will go back to working on my foot stool which I got 150 yards of yarn knit up since I last wrote here.  I am off to watch something on Hulu now have a great day and if it is nice tomorrow I will try to post some pictures!

My business Cards and a Foot Stool update!

This is the best picture I could get of my new business cards!  I love how they came out.  I got them at Vista printing http://www.vistaprint.com, your first order is free you just pay for shipping!

Above you can see the 1/2 done Foot Stool now this will be felted but so far I have used 6 skeins of yarn and I have 5 to go!  It is 24 inches across and so far 11 inches long, I already have the bottom piece done.  Once it is 32-36 inches long I will felt the whole thing and then sew the bottom on with the zipper.  This is going to Knit Picks for the IDP program!

I hope you all have a great and productive day!

Yes I am part of National Blog Posting Month http://www.nablopomo.com/ if you go to this web site it will tell you all about it!  Mostly it means you agree to make a blog post every day in the month of November!  I will be trying to do this while also trying to get 2-3 new patterns written and released this month!  Wish me luck I am going to need it.  I also want to say welcome to all the people coming here from the NaBloPoMo site, I hope you enjoy my blog and please subscribe and stay awhile!

What a busy day

Today I finished writing my Chainlink Scarf, Hat and Mitten pattern.  Wow it took 6 hours to type up and do the photo's.  It is now in testing and you can find the thread on Ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/the-testing-pool/1373292/1-25  right here, if you would like to help out!

The mail brought some goodies I got my steel wool yarn from Lion Brand and I will be working on that pattern tomorrow so I can get that out for testing on Wednesday!  I also got my new business cards in and the look great, I will post a picture tomorrow, if I can get a good shot!

I am still working on my Felted foot stool, I ran out of yarn (silly me didn't ask for enough) but the yarn came over the weekend and for the rest of today that is what I will be working on!
