How is everyone today? With the new snow moving into the Chicago area I have decided it is time for another giveaway! Same rules as usual post a comment stating why you love the snow and on 17th I will use the random number generator to pick one winner. This is open to the United States only, sorry about that but shipping prices are high. So lets see what you will win.
A wall Calender! It starts with March of 2011
a key chain, and I don't have a picture of it but a magnetic calender for your fridge!
Also I will be sending you a gift certificate that you can use to purchase on patterns up to $5!
Good luck and I can't wait to hear why you love the snow!
I would love the snow to stick at least one day here so I could take my cats out in it again and the new bunny. I would love to take a good shot for holiday cards for next year.

I love the snow to take beautiful pictures. We got 10" of snow Sunday night in Florence, Alabama. It was the 3rd biggest one day total in history. We may get a dusting to a couple of inches a couple of times each winter. I made snowcream yesterday. The first time probably since 1988. I love snowcream. This much snow shuts down the town and county. It isn't suppose to get above freezing until Thurs or Friday.
ReplyDeleteI love the snow because it gets my husband up in the mountains skiing and I can sit and knit all day!
ReplyDeleteI won't lie: I hate snow for the most part. I like how it looks on trees and grass and houses...if we could make it so that it doesn't stick to the sidewalks and roads, I'd be set for life :)
ReplyDeleteSince it's snowing here in southern Wisconsin, I've been entertaining myself by watching the kids in the schoolyard across the street (during recess).
I love looking out at our wooded front yard - especially the huge evergreen tree - when the snow is falling. It's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteOther than that, I could do without it, quite frankly. :)
I love the snow because I love to go snow sledding. It is so much fun...at any age! avennett AT verizon DOT net
ReplyDeleteI love the snow because it makes everything look clean and fresh and pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love the snow because I have a Great Pyrenees and when it snows, he races outside to make snow angels on the patio. The sight of him rolling around on his back with all four paws in the air sends me into fits of giggles!

i love the snow! I grew up near the canadian border in new england and swear i can smell when it is on it's way. Of course then we moved to a pacific island... no snow. Used to have to close the blinds, crank the a/c put a pot of stew on the stove and pretend it was winter outside and we were snowed in. They are predicting snow for us this afternoon, would be so nice!
ReplyDeleteI love to see newly fallen snow when I first wake up. The world is at peace and nothing has yet disturbed the beautiful landscape.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
I love playing in the snow with my kids, and having an excuse to just stay inside and knit and spin!!

jessecreations on Ravelry. :)
I don't really love the snow but it gives me a good/better reason to just sit and knit with a cat in my lap.
ReplyDeleteI love snow because . . . Probably because I grew up in southern Georgia and Florida. And because being indoors, cozy with a warm blanket in my lap, a snoozing cat in the blanket, and yarn in my hands, gives a wonderful feeling of all being right in my world.
ReplyDeleteThe thing I like about snow,is it is sometimes fun (to me) to watch it fall outside.
ReplyDeleteI love the snow b/c I get to bundle up in my cute winter clothes! :)

ReplyDeleteI love the snow because we hardly ever get any down here in GA. However, I do not like driving in it. I just love watching it fall and seeing how beautiful everything looks when it is covered in white! I got to have my very first white Christmas ever this year :) So far we've had 3 big snowfalls in the last month!
ReplyDeleteYou can find me on Ravelry as agd509
I love the snow because I get the chance to fall on my tush while learning how to snowboard. I also love the snow because it inspires my friends and family to ask me to make nice warm scarves.
ReplyDeleteI love snow because it melts and goes away ... :0)
ReplyDeleteI love the snow because it gets up to 115 degrees in the summer where I live. So when winter rolls around I love driving up the canyon to the snowy parts of our area and enjoy the snow.

It is a really pretty snow here in OH. And I don't need to go out until 11:30.
ReplyDeleteI love the snow, the smell of it coming, the differences in every snow storm and the fun we always have playing in it.
ReplyDeleteI love the snow because it means all my woolens are being used to keep heads, hands and necks warm. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved our recent snow in the south (Georgia) because it shut everything down completely for 5 days and left me lots of time to knit!!! (there's an up side to everything if you look for it!)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE snow, & I always have! I don't do much in it lately, but I like driving in it, I like to sculpt with it, I don't like shoveling anymore, but I DO like snow blowing. & I would love a knitting calendar for my fridge!
ReplyDeleteI have a little personal tradition of building a fire in the fireplace during a snowstorm and sitting by the fire spinning. It's so lovely to watch the snow falling and feeling all cozy and making yarn.
